HOLIDAY WEIGHT GAIN. NAH!!!

Every day poses challenges, yet you remain strong and continue to make progress toward your goals. Why should the holidays be any different?  If you are on a losing streak (that's a good thing) then don't let a holiday, a vacation, etc...be an excuse to derail all your hard work. And don't let others deter you either! Or, skip workouts because you have too much cooking, shopping or whatever!  Quite frankly, I've never understood that mentality.

Incorporating fitness and a healthier lifestyle should be just as routine as the rest of your day. Think of it as a 9-hour workday instead of 8. Or however many hours you work to add on an hour, or even half an hour for goodness sake! O.k. 20 minutes??

You get the point right?  Listen, I write this stuff for my own accountability too. I'm not saying it's easy. And by giving you advice, it helps me stay on track too because I don't like being a hypocrite.  If you think I don't want that extra beautifully decorated choo-choo train sugar cookie you're wrong. Of course I do! But I'm not willing to blow my entire healthy lifestyle for the sake of ingesting another 12 million calories of fat. And if by chance I do, you'd best be assured I'm getting my ass to the gym for an extra blast.

Nothing is easy. That's just how it works.  And think about it. What if you pass on that extra piece of pie or cookie or eggnog (Ugh! Imagine what all that butter is doing to your arteries.) What's going to happen to you? Will you die?  I don't think so. At least I hope not or else there goes my blog.

I was thinking of a bunch of different tips to give you in order to help you avoid overindulgence this holiday season but ya know what? Everyone has their own methods and I'm trusting you will find what works for you. So I've decided to just go on faith. Faith in you and your ability to stay strong, enjoying a limited amount of treats and following through on your workouts.  Which by the way, don't have to be long and boring.  Yes, I can give you tips on that. Look for them here or email me for specific workout bursts that are only 15-20 minutes.

If you need any extra encouragement, I'm here!

Best in health,
Robyn
