STAYING FIT AND LOOKING FABULOUS AT ANY AGE!


IF YOU HAVEN'T TRIED WEIGHT TRAINING, NOW IS THE TIME!

I have been working out my entire life since I was about 17.  I never had to think about gaining weight because I've made working out a part of my daily life.  Over an extended period of time that I maybe overindulged in my eating habits, I might have gained a couple inches until I decided O.K. had my fun, now it's time to take off the inches.  It was soooo easy to do.  Took about a few days to maybe a week, if that.

Then, I turned 35.  My body changed.  I turned 40. It changed again. 45 (gulp) You get the picture.  The changes were subtle, at first.  And perhaps only visible to me.  That's a good thing.  Comes from all that working out?  I was able to control it without too much effort (though a little more) than previously.

So what's the problem, you ask?  The problem is that if I hadn't been working out, these changes would have taken over as is the case probably with many of you reading this now.  But wait! Along with hormonal shifts, comes the weight shift.  My fat found a new place to deposit itself! This does not mean you must succumb to the extra belly fat that comes with age! Is it more difficult to control? Uh, hell yeah! But it's all about priorities.    

I found the answer in heavier and more consistent weight training .  When I say heavy I mean heavy for me,  a woman of slight stature.  So instead of lifting 5 lbs for my biceps say, I'll lift as much as I can without hurting myself. Whatever is challenging.  The results are amazing and not just to recognize yourself in the mirror again but also for bone density and strength.

 Trust me when I say this. YOU WILL NOT GET BULKY! In fact, just the opposite.  You WILL be leaner and sculpted. 
  
You can, and should, continue to work out, stay fit and look your personal best no matter what age!
